New Paths features Tiensuu, Pulkkis and Jalava
New Paths in Music, taking place in Manhattan, New York, is an event presenting new music rarely performed in the United States.
This year’s concert on 21 June will focus on Nordic music, and its highlight will be the world premiere of Jukka Tiensuu’s Violin concerto, with Cho-Liang Lin as the soloist.
The festival programme also includes works commissioned from Uljas Pulkkis (Victoria) and Pertti Jalava (Two Ways to Leave and Return), as well as other Nordic composers.
