WOMEX 2012 Artist Award to Värttinä

World Music Expo, WOMEX, announced that the WOMEX 12 Artist Award goes to Värttinä.

The timing couldn't be better. Värttinä celebrates it's 30th anniversary next year and released their latest album Utu just a few months ago.

WOMEX 2012 will be held from 17 to 21 October in Thessaloniki, Greece. Värttinä will perform on Sunday morning, 21 October 2012, during the WOMEX Award Ceremony.
