Mikko Innanen & Innkvisitio play in Rochester, Ottawa and Vancouver

Rochester International Jazz Festival (11-19 June 2010) continues with its highly popular Nordic Jazz Now series, which has been presenting top-class ensembles from Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark already for several years. In the 2010 edition, their Finnish choice is the avant-garde saxophonist Mikko Innanen with his ensemble Innkvisitio, a group of experienced and appreciated musicians playing Innanen’s musically adventurous compositions.

After their Rochester gig on 19 June, Mikko Innanen & Innkvisitio continue their North American tour to Canada, where they perform at Ottawa Jazz Festival on 24 June and Vancouver International Jazz Festival 25-26 June. The group will also play at the Embassy of Finland, Washington, D. C. on 18 June, and have gigs in New York on 22 and 23 June.
