Uusinta Chamber Ensemble celebrates its 10th anniversary with Finnish world premieres

A Finnish new music group Uusinta Chamber Ensemble celebrates its ten years of existence on 10 October. In the Anniversary concert in Gyllenberg Hall, Helsinki the ensemble will premiere four new works by Finnish composers. These works include Osmo Tapio Räihälä’s Suprematisse, Lauri Kilpiö’s Fog, Stream and Fleeting Objects, Max SavikangasAzonal Advice and Lauri Toivio’s Witch Hunt. Lotta Wennäkoski's work Sival will also be heard in the concert. Uusinta Chamber Enseble will be conducted by Eeva Ollikainen.

Uusinta is also a part of Re:NewMusic-program that focuses on promoting new music across Europe. The Anniversary concert includes a Finnish premiere from the Re:NewMusic database, Regis Campo’s Pop-Art.
The Finnish YLE will broadcast the concert on the next day, 11 October on YLE Radio 1.
