Flow Festival fills Suvilahti with a broad range of music

The seventh Flow Festival will take place in Helsinki from August 13 to15. The festival is arranged as part of Helsinki Festival, bringing a broad selection of international and Finnish acts to Helsinki's Suvilahti, a popular festival area in the heart of the city.

The musical scope of the festival ranges from electronic music to indie rock, jazz and world music. Using two stages, a concert venue, two clubs and other locations, the festival offers a wide choice of artists. The international top names of the festival include, for example, LCD Soundsystem, M.I.A., Air, and Jónsi from Sigur Rós.

Finnish artists like Jimi Tenor, Husky Rescue, Timo Lassy, Villa Nah and Circle also perform on the festival's main stages. The clubs and other locations are filled with interesting Finnish artists. For example, the Tiivistämö venue is dedicated to experimental music with the title "The Other Sound of Finland", featuring Islaja, Kiila, Pekko Käppi and Ville Leinonen, among others. Also Finnish electronic music will be celebrated in a special event, "Finns Do It Better", featuring Vladislav Delay, Clouds and Jori Hulkkonen.
