Alba Records releases a profile cd of Timo-Juhani Kyllönen

The recording is a result of Finnish-Russian collaboration: St. Petersburg State Academic Capella Symphony Orchestra is conducted by Alexander Chernushenko with Matti Rantanen as the accordion soloist.

About the often mentioned Russian flavour of his music, the composer himself states: "Melody
and emotion are at the core of my esthetics."

Timo-Juhani Kyllönen's 'Missa Festiva', a work commissioned by the Organ Night and Aria festival to celebrate the 550-year-anniversary of the City of Espoo, will be premiered on August 7.
